BALTIMORE — William Contreras homered and Cooper Pratt drove in two as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-0 on Sunday night in Baltimore to complete a three-game sweep and set a franchise record with their 98th victory.

Milwaukee (98-58) owns the best record in the majors and surpassed the 97 wins from last season after already clinching its fourth consecutive NL Central title. The Brewers manufactured the first run in the second inning against Brandon Young (9-5) when Jake Bauers walked, advanced on a grounder and scored on Pratt's two-out single to left. Contreras led off the fourth with a 403-foot homer to left off Young's sinker for his 18th of the season, and Pratt added an RBI single in the seventh against reliever Félix Bautista.

Jacob Misiorowski started for Milwaukee and allowed one hit with four strikeouts in three innings in a planned abbreviated outing. The right-hander leads the majors with a 1.86 ERA and 247 strikeouts and moved into second place on the Brewers' single-season strikeouts list, trailing only Ben Sheets' 264 in 2004. DL Hall (4-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings for the win and Trevor Megill worked the ninth for his 29th save. Young allowed two runs and struck out a career-high nine in six innings for Baltimore, while Bautista completed his comeback from shoulder surgery in his first major league appearance since July 20, 2025.

Jackson Chourio stole two bases to reach 21 on the season and joined Seattle's Julio Rodríguez and Kansas City's Bobby Witt Jr. as the only players with 20 homers and 20 steals in three consecutive seasons to open a career. Baltimore managed four hits and was shut out for the second consecutive game, falling five games behind the Chicago White Sox for the American League's third wild card with six games remaining.

Milwaukee is off Monday before opening its final road series Tuesday at Philadelphia with RHP Dustin May (7-9, 4.61 ERA) slated to start. Baltimore continues its final homestand Monday against Toronto with RHP Shane Baz (6-5, 4.11 ERA) scheduled to start.
